Libanius, Letters 143.3
ἐγὼ δὲ ἠπίστουν τοῦτον ἐκεῖνον εἶναι· τῆς τε γὰρ νόσου τῆς πολλῆς ἀπώιδειν τὸ πρόσωπον τήν τε κόμην ἄλλον τινὰ μηνύειν. οὐ γὰρ εἶχον εὑρεῖν, ἐξ ὅτου τοσαύτην ἔθρεψεν ἄν.
But I was unable to believe that it was him (Aristides), for the face did not betray his grave illness, and the hair indicated that it was someone else, for I could not understand how he should have such a profusion.
